The Cyprus Chefs Association (CCA) is a non-political, professional organization, dedicated to maintaining and improving the culinary standards of the Cyprus Cuisine. These goals are accomplished through education, continuous training and professional development of the association’s members. As an authority and opinion leader on food in Cyprus, CCA represents a national voice on all issues related to the culinary profession.
AIM
The aim of the CCA is to improve the quality and standards of members of the culinary profession in Cyprus, to promote the Cyprus Cuisine, as well as to represent Cyprus in all International Gastronomy forums.
FACTS
» Founded in 1994
» Became a full member of the World Association of Chefs Societies in 1996 during the World Congress in Jerusalem, Israel
» In 1998 the first Culinary Team was created aiming at representing the Association in all main International Culinary Competitions;
» 250 senior members and 100 junior members
» Every two years an Annual General Meeting takes place where a new Board of Directors is elected.
» CCA is a very active Association not only Culinary wise but which also contributes to the Social life of Cyprus, through the organization of Charity events as well as working closely with the Ministry of Tourism, the Cyprus Tourism Organization, as well as other Tourism Educational Organizations;
