Main Action of CCA for the Period 2009-2011
November 2009
- The annual general meeting of CCA is held
January 2010 (24-29/01/2010)
- The President of CCA Mr. Yiannakis Agapiou represents the Association in the World Chefs Conference of WACS in Santiago, Chile. At the conference the President makes live presentation of halloumi as the prime traditional cheese of Cyprus with traditional and modern recipes in a customized amphitheater. The Cyprus Chefs Association was also represented in the conference of young Chefs by Christos Nikolaou
- The annual charity dinner was organized by all members of the CAA of Famagusta district. The whole attempt was successful as the amount of € 27.000 was finally gathered, which went to St. Paul Foundation, which accommodates and helps children and adults with disabilities.

The organization of Gastronomy 2008 takes part, the largest event of its kind. The Chefs Association of Cyprus the co-organizer of Gastronomy with the company Georgallis Fairs and Cyprus Confectioners' Federation.
April 2010
- The usual Lenten Meal was organized by the members of Nicosia District of Cyprus Chefs Association at the Sports Center of Bank of Cyprus, the revenues of which are intended for the Theotokos Foundation in Limassol.
May 2010
- A meeting was held with the Mayor of Limassol Mr. Andreas Christou, the President and the General Director of our Association, Mr. Agapiou and Mr. Chatziiosif. The Purpose of that meeting was the participation and the upgrading of the CAA to the annual Wine Festival 2010, which was realized in September of the same year.
June 2010
- The Cyprus Chefs Association honors the best student of the Higher Hotel Institute with the best performance in culinary arts. The award is given in the memory of Petros Kontopyrgou.
July 2010
- The Olympic Culinary Team oorganizes its usual annual dinner at the hotel Four Seasons. The dinner takes place under the high protection of the First Lady Mrs Elsie Christofias and under the auspices of the Minister of Trade, Industry and Tourism Mr. Antonis Paschalides. The dinner was attended by all the Sponsors and Supporters of our Olympic Team and people of the area of Tourism and Catering Industry, as well as other friends of our Association.

The Director of the Culinary Olympic Team Panayiotis Charalambous and Nearhos Evangelou traveled to Luxembourg to make the necessary reservations for the transition of the team which will compete in the World Cup on the 19-25 of November 2010.
September 2010
- CAA participates in the Ice Cream Festival, held in September in Nicosia. The festival is organized by the Tourism Development Company of Nicosia, the Ice Cream Industries' Association of Cyprus and the EBE.

The President of the Association Mr. Yiannakis Agapiou travels to Innsburck in Austria, where he represents the CAA at the Paneuropean Conference of WACS

Dinner is held at the Four Seasons in order for the Olympic Team to be trained, in cooperation with the Berringer wines of America.

Dinner is held at the 5th Floor in Paphos in order for the Olympic Team to be trained, in cooperation with the Matarromerra wines. Dinner is Sponsored by the Bank of Cyprus.
October 2010
- In the context of International Day of Chef (20 October) the members of CAA visited primary schools across free Cyprus and prepare healthy breakfast for the children of first grade. The purpose of this event is to sensitize children on healthy eating, the promotion of our profession and by extension of the CAA.

Members of the Olympic Culinary Team prepared a dinner in the context of charity Gala for the needs of Friends for children without families Association "The Helix". The event was a great success as 250 people was attended.

The Culinary Olympic Team shows again its human face by cooking for children with leukemia. The entire organization took place in a home in Limassol with 350 participants.
November 2010
- Word Culinary Cup in Luxembourg. The Cyprus Culinary Olympic Team takes part in the World Culinary Cup in Luxembourg. During the Contest the Prince of Luxembourg, Mr. Henri, visits the Teams cuisine, and test the menu of our mission. Our team won 4 bronze medals.

Contacts are made by the President of CCA concerning signing an agreement with DICK Company for sponsorship of the Culinary Olympic Team with the amount of € 6.000.

Within Radiomarathon 2010 the Cyprus Chefs Association takes part in the feast of joy in Limassol. Our colleague Mr. Christakis Achilles undertakes the preparation of lokmadon whose revenues are given to the fund of Radiomarathon
December 2010
- The Culinary Olympic Team prepares a dinner at Four Seasons Hotel in cooperation with radio station Channel 6. The income of the very successful dinner, which is now an institution, is given to the Foundation Child’s Love Day.
February 2011
- The CAA organizes a dinner in Paphos in honor of members of the Olympic Culinary Team. All members of the Olympic Team spent the night in the hotel Anemi, a kind sponsorship of the owning company.

The process of amending and updating the statutes of the CAA and a proposal for statutory changes by the Plenum begins.

In Avgorou a yearly event is organized as usual by the CAA (Famagusta) for the financial support of St. Paul Foundation. The whole event was crowned with great success since the revenues amounted to € 29.000.
March 2011
- The agreement with the Company Dick (represented in Cyprus by Virardi) for the sponsorship with the amount of €6.000 of knives and tools to the Olympic Culinary Team is finally signed.

There is a meeting held between the President of CAA, the Wine Products Council, the Association of Sommeliers and the Association of wine lovers to collaborate on events to promote the Cyprus Wine.
April 2011
- The Cyprus Chefs Association in cooperation with the Wine Products Council, the Association of Sommeliers and the Association of wine lovers organizes a workshop and a presentation on the Cyprus Wine in connection with the Cypriot cuisine. The whole event ends with a gourmet dinner.

The usual Lenten meal of CAA (Nicosia) is organized at the Sports Center of Bank of Cyprus. Revenues allocated to the Association "Friends of the Children's House of Nicosia" that hosts and helps children coming from problematic families.
June 2011
- The President of the Association travels to Athens after the invitation of the Unilever Hellas Company for the presentation of the new corporate identity of the company. Please note that the company Unilever Hellas sponsors the Cyprus Chefs Association.

The President of CAA Mr. Yiannakis Agapiou and the Deputy President Mr. Panicos Hatzitofis traveled to England invited by the Agency EBLEX. The Agency is designed to promote British beef and lamb abroad. During this visit, they agreed sponsorship by the Agency EBLEX to the Olympic Team with the amount of € 5.000 which was implemented immediately.

This year our Association honors, as per every year, with a commemorative plaque the student with the best performance in the culinary arts of the Higher Hotel Institute.
September 2011
- Faithful to the annual meeting Cyprus Chefs Association again takes part at the Ice Cream Festival in Nicosia which is organized by the Tourism Development of the Capital City, the Association of Ice Cream Industries and the Cyprus EVE.

The President of the Association Mr. Yiannakis Agapiou travels to Istanbul in order to represent CAA the Pan European Conference of WACS.
October 2011
- The Education Committee of the CAA and specifically our colleagues Mr. John Katsiis and Mr. George Kyprianou processed six training sessions and submit them to the Human Resource Development Authority. These seminars after their approval they will be held at the first half of 2013.

The Dinner of the Olympic Culinary Team. An annual dinner, which has been established, of the Culinary Olympic Team was held at the Four Seasons Hotel. The dinner is intended to highlight the work of the Olympic team and also to thank the sponsors and supporters of Team.

The first statutory meeting of the Cyprus Chefs Association took plac, in Adams Hotel in Ayia Napa. Proposals were suggested in the plenary session of the Board Council, which put them to vote and will take effect at the next Annual General Meeting, that is on 04 December 2011.
November 2011
- Representation of Cyprus Chefs Association travels to Athens to represent the Association at the official dinner of the company XENIA during the exhibition. The official invitation is an attempt from the above company for future collaboration with our Association.
